Instruction for linux users to change their default java to SUN JAVA:
- On linux command line type "java -version" to see which java is currently selected. If your output is something like this :
- java version "1.6.0_17"
- Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_17-b04)
- Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 14.3-b01, mixed mode, sharing)
Then you have Sun JRE installed and selected and you can continue with running "install.sh". Else go the next step
- If output is "command not found" then no Java is installed. Go to http://www.java.com to install Sun Java. Otherwise you can install Sun Java using package manager. After installing Sun Java you can continue running "install.sh"
- If you got output containing "Open JDK" then you need to check whether Sun Java is installed or not. For this type linux command "sudo update-alternatives --config java". It will show you all the JRE's installed on your system. If Sun Java is installed select it by choosing appropriate number. Otherwise you need to download and install Sun JRE and select it as your default JRE.
